Mixed Hampers
What a spread! (But we don’t do bread…)
As well as our cheese and wine selections, we will also be very happy to make up custom foodie hampers for you. There are too many possibilities to list, as we have a whole shop to choose from!
What generally works best is if you say something like, ‘A bottle of Port, a bit of cheese, and some crackers,’ or, ‘A selection of goodies for someone with a sweet tooth,’ or, ‘£30 (or £50, or any value) of unusual deli goods for a real foodie.’ General guidance like that - and a rough budget - will lead us to a well-balanced selection for you. Remember to tell us about any allergies or intolerances.
We can either supply your selection in a plain bag, a reusable, red jute bag, or we can present it in a festive red hamper with green stuffing, for a small extra charge. Remember to tell us if you want a gift tag attached.
Please give us a day or two’s notice for making up a hamper if you possibly can: we will have many dozens to make up as well as the shop being busy, and it is not always possible for us to select a hamper while you wait. (Though if you want to make up your own hamper that is of course a lot easier!)
WHAT ABOUT DELIVERIES?
This year, because we are busier than ever, we are asking you to collect your orders if at all possible. We WILL deliver within Kirkwall (including the isles depot at Hatston) right up to December 22nd, but further afield we are able to deliver by prior arrangement only.
We are currently scheduling deliveries for the East Mainland and connected isles on Wednesday 17th, and the West Mainland on Thursday 18th December. (Any cheese you order will keep just as happily in your fridge as in ours: it will have a date a good well into the New Year.) Please contact us to discuss possibilities.
